About Idaho Disc Golf Alliance
The Idaho Disc Golf Alliance (IDGA) was formed to bring structure, sustainability, and long-term vision to the growth of disc golf across the State of Idaho. As a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, IDGA exists exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, supporting the growth, development, and sustainability of disc golf statewide .
Disc golf in Idaho has grown rapidly through passionate volunteers, local clubs, and dedicated tournament directors. Yet long-term growth requires more than enthusiasm — it requires funding systems, governance standards, accountability, and statewide coordination.
IDGA was created to provide that foundation.
We support course development and preservation, youth and women’s programming, age-protected divisions, tournament advancement, and structured fundraising pathways for clubs and directors operating under charitable guidelines. By combining community passion with responsible nonprofit infrastructure, IDGA strengthens local efforts while building a unified statewide framework.
Our mission is simple: protect what makes Idaho disc golf special while building systems that allow it to grow with integrity, transparency, and purpose.
This is not a short-term project. It is a long-term commitment to ensuring disc golf in Idaho remains strong, accessible, and sustainable for generations to come.
Why Now?
Disc golf in Idaho is experiencing rapid growth — more players, more tournaments, and expanding community interest. With that growth comes opportunity, but also responsibility. Without structure, funding pathways, and coordinated leadership, momentum can stall or become fragmented. IDGA was formed at a pivotal moment to ensure that growth is supported by sustainable systems, transparent governance, and long-term strategic planning. Now is the time to build the foundation that will support Idaho disc golf for decades to come.
